ABOUT ME
I’m Paul Jacques and I’m a web developer/software developer based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. I have over thirteen years of commercial
experience. I am currently developing software and websites for a living and in my spare time I mess about with websites and code.
Read on to find out how I started out and what else I do when I'm not messing about with websites and code.
Having first come across the internet while at university in 1994, I went on to build my first website using Paint Shop Pro for the web design and hand coded the HTML in a text editor.
Like many other websites of that time, it was hosted on Geocities (how things have changed since then).
I went on to graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1998 with a BSc(Hons) Degree in Computing and I've worked as a web developer and software developer for various companies over the years. I'm also a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in .Net Framework 2.0 - Web Applications.
When I'm not working on websites, messing with code and being a parent, I enjoy being out on the hills and I'm a member of The Hairy Hikers, a charity hiking group.
I enjoy a good game of 5 a side football and play regularly. Did I mention I have a passion for real ale? Well I certainly do, and I visit the odd beer festival (when my wife allows it).
I am married and have a lovely three year old daughter and a baby daughter.
